Apply for a Scholarship

Operation Break Free offers scholarships for women survivors of domestic violence — three months of free training in our private, all-women's self-defense class, Mondays at 6:00 PM.

Your scholarship status is completely confidential. No one in class knows who is training on scholarship and who isn't — you're simply a student, learning real skills, in a safe and private setting.

Eligibility & Documentation
To responsibly steward scholarship funding, we ask applicants to share some form of documentation of their situation. This can include:

  • A police report or incident number

  • A protective or restraining order

  • A referral or letter from a domestic violence advocate, counselor, shelter, or partner organization

Don't have any of these? Reach out anyway. We understand that many survivors can't safely or easily produce documentation, and we don't want that to be the reason someone doesn't get help. We'll work with you.

This form is confidential. Only our program team will see your responses. You're welcome to share as little or as much as you're comfortable with.
